Lumen Christi Institute currently offers a three year Bachelor degree course in Philosophy (B.A. in Philosophy). This course is affiliated to De Sales University, Allentown, PA. USA. The students who successfully complete the studies receive their certificate (B.A. in Philosophy) from De Sales University.
Each academic year is divided into two semesters-thus making six semesters in all. The programme consists of 109 credits including Dissertation (one credit equals 15 hours). The courses are organised in the form of lectures, discussions, seminars, extension lectures and assignments or papers. Of the total number of credits required in the 6 semesters, a certain number are set aside for the Introductory Courses while the others are for Systematic Philosophy, History of Western Philosophy, African Philosophy, Religions, Human and Social Sciences, Seminars and presentation of Papers. After being introduced into philosophical reflection, the students study in depth all the important aspects of Philosophy.
